Where does the name Overgaard come from?
Overgaard was a big farm in the Hvidbjerg Vesten Aa/Istrup area. Overgaard was mentioned as early as the 15th century.
The farm was abandonned in the end of the 18th century due to excessive sand drift in that area of western Denmark.
